Xiaomi Redmi 6 runs on Android 8.1 (Oreo) with MIUI 12 interface. It is packed with 3GB and 4GB RAM options while the internal storage has 32GB and 64GB options. The storage option of the phone can be expanded up to 256GB using an extra memory card via a dedicated card slot.
