Families of C-130 military plane crash victims received donations from Willie Revillame
Wowowin host Willie Revillame donated P5.2 million to the families of soldiers who died after a C-130 military plane crashed in Patikul, Sulu just recently.
On July 4, the said plane of the Philippine Air Force was carrying 96 military personnel and crew when it crashed. Based on the recent article in Bandera, Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Chief of Staff Gen. Cirilito Sobejana said that 49 soldiers died in the accident while 47 others were injured.
In a recent episode of Willieās game show, he called Maj. Gen. Edgard Arevalo, the spokesperson of AFP in order to ask how he could extend help to the families of the victims.
When asked about the victimsā families, Maj. Gen. Arevalo said that they are processing the beneficiaries that they will receive since the soldiers died in the line of duty.
Willie Revillame expressed sadness over this tragic accident. āMaglalaan po ako sa lahat kasama na āyung tatlobg sibilyan ng tig-P100,000 pesos sa bawaāt pamilyang naulila.Ā Ito po ay galing sa aking bulsa, personal ko po ito. Aabutin po tayo ng P5.2 milyon āno?ā the veteran host said.
Kuya Wil added that he will give this amount to Arevalo and he will be the one who will divide this amount to the families of the deceased soldiers. Maj. Gen. Arevalo expressed gratitude to the Wowowin host for his donation.
Meanwhile, in a previous article Willie Revillame said that he will be doing a major decision when it comes to his lifeās future and career. He said that he will be announcing his decision on his show this week.
