Woman Arrested After Suspected Member of Rent-Tangay Modus Group in Pampanga

Authorities arrested a woman who was a suspected member of a criminal group who is behind the rent-tangay vehicles modus in Pampanga.

The suspect was identified as Myra Dizon, of Metrogate Subdivision, Bgy. Capaya, Angeles City. According to Region 3 CIDG chief Col. Norberto Delmas, the suspect was arrested during the entrapment operation conducted in Pampanga.

Dizon was apprehended in Bgy. Dila-dila, Sta. Rita, by personnel of the CIDG Pampanga and the Sta. Rita municipal police. According to Delmas, the operation was initiated after claimed victims Ronaldo Delfin Divina and four others filed a complaint against Dizon, who allegedly hired their automobiles.

Despite multiple demands from the owners, Dizon failed to pay the rental money and return the vehicles, according to the complainants. Dizon allegedly provided the complainants documentation demonstrating she is the legitimate owner of a company that belonged to another person in order to entice naive clients, according to the complainants.

Aside from that, the suspect had other IDs confiscated, each with a different name but the same photo. According to the victims, in addition to using a different identity, it also claims to have properties, agencies, enterprises, and other entities. CIDG Pampanga has taken custody of the suspect, who will be prosecuted with large-scale estafa.
