The Samsung Galaxy A22 was announced on June 3, 2021, and released on July 1, 2021. The smartphone measures 159.3 x 73.6 x 8.4 mm and weighs 186 grams.
The smartphone comes with a screen size of 6.4 inches Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels, 20:9 aspect ratio. The materials used in building the device include a glass front, a plastic frame, and a plastic back.
Samsung Galaxy A22 is powered by Mediatek Helio G80 (12 nm) processor while the graphics processing unit (GPU) is Mali-G52 MC2. It runs on the Android 11 + One UI Core 3.1 operating system.
Samsung Galaxy A22 come in variants such as 64GB + 4GB RAM, 128GB + 4GB RAM, and 128GB + 6GB RAM. The storage option can be expanded up to 1024GB using an extra memory card via a dedicated card slot.
The smartphone is integrated with a quad-camera on the rear side: 48-megapixel (wide) + 8-megapixel (ultrawide) + 2-megapixel (macro) and 2-megapixel (depth). On the front, the phone features a 13-megapixel camera for clicking beautiful selfies and making video calls.
Sensors on the smartphone include a compass, proximity, accelerometer, gyro, and fingerprint (side-mounted). It also features Bluetooth 5,0, GPS with A-GPS, GALILEO, GLONASS, BDS, and USB Type-C 2.0.
It is fueled with a non-removable Li-Po 5000 mAh battery + fast charging 15W. It is available in four colors: Violet, Mint, White, and Black.
