Cop Earned Praise for Allowing Detained Father Hug His little Girl in Pangasinan
The online community admires the selfless act of a cop in Pangasinan after he allowed the little girl to hug her father who is detained.
A kind cop granted the three-year-old girl’s plea to hug her father outside his cell at the municial jail. In a Facebook post, Police Staff Sgt. Reynante Flavio describes how the small girl begs to him.
The father was arrested last week on a warrant for acts of lasciviousness, according to Police Major Gilbert Ferrer, the area’s chief of police. The girl went to the local police station with her mother, claiming she already missed her father a much.
Based on Flavio’s post, the little girl said to him “Puwede ko po bang mayakap ang aking papa? Miss na miss ko na po kasi siya. Puwede ninyo ba siyang palayain na?”
The girl’s begging moved Flavio, and he accepted her request. The nice cop eventually opened the cell door, allowing her father to come out and hug his daughter.
“Halika para hindi namamagitan ang rehas sa pag yakap sa iyong papa buksan ko na lang saglit at yakapin mo siya,” he said to the girl.
As of writing, the photographs have accumulated 103,000 likes, 8,000 comments, and 37,000 shares on Facebook. Netizens applauded the officer’s actions, and some even shed a tear when they watched the girl crying while hugging his father, who is 42 years old.
