Sarco Machine Makes You Experience Painless Death While Alive
MACHINE MAKES YOU EXPERIENCE DEATH – Much like time, death is constant. Its inevitability reminds us to live our lives to the fullest. However, the sensation of death is something that most of us are curious about.
Unfortunately, people don’t often get a chance to come back to life to tell their experience – until now?
An inventor created what he calls a “suicide machine” opened his creation to the public. With his machine, he claims that people could get a virtual reality experience as to how they would die.
According to an article from Ladbible, Dr. Philip Nitschke, named his machine, Sarco. Unsurprisingly, his nickname accurately describe his inventions as people call him Dr. Death at a funeral fair in Amsterdam way back 2018.
The concept was built around a 3D-printed euthanasia machine. At a glance, it looks like a pod you would see in sci-fi movies that space travelers sleep in during interstellar missions to far away planets.
But, instead of preserving your body, the machine rapidly decreases the oxygen level while maintaining a low CO2 level. For the most part, this combination is used to provide a peaceful, or sometimes, a euphoric death.
Meanwhile, the Sarco websited stated that:
Other design considerations were to devise a system that requires no specialised skills or involvement, no sourcing of difficult to obtain drugs, [and] no need for medical involvement eg. with the insertion of an intravenous cannula
Furthermore, a press release stated that Sarco was short for sarcophagus. Additionally, it was created to “get ‘people talking positively about death and with broader consideration than being being, afraid, scared or shocked”.
