Olivia Rodrigo Accused Of Stealing 90s Rock Band’s Album Cover
OLIVIA RODRIGO – Rock icon Courtney Love has called out Olivia Rodrigo and accused her of stealing her band’s album cover.
Back in the 90s, Love’s band, Hole, released their “Live Through This” album. Noticeably, Rodrigo’s cover art for her latest album “Sour” had uncanny similarities.
On the cover, you could see model Leilani Bishop wearing a tiara with botched-up glitter running down her eyes while holding a bouquet of flowers. Meanwhile, Rodrigo’s album can be seen with the exact same concept at play.
On her official Facebook, Love shared a picture of Rodrigo’s “Sour” album with the caption “Spot the difference! #twinning!”. This seemingly sounds like a light-hearted nod of approval from the 90s singer.
However, things quickly turned sour in the comment section after she commented on her on post with:
I’ve informed I await her flowers and note. I sure hope it’s long. Does Disney teach kids reading and writing? God knows. Let’s see. Yes this is rude. Rage inducing? Honey if I had a dollar for every[time] this happens? I’d be real rich!
Afterward, she had a separate comment that said:
Stealing an original idea and not asking permission is rude. There’s no way to be elegant about it. I’m not angry. It happens all the time to me
Meanwhile, Rodrigo, not realizing the context of Love’s post, commented “‘Love u and live through this sooooo much“. Afterward, Love replied with:
Olivia – you’re welcome. My favorite florist is in Notting Hill, London! Dm me for deets! I look forward to reading your note!
