7 Suspects of Counterfeit Cigarettes Smuggling Arrested ni Bulacan Buy-Bust
Police arrested seven (7) suspects behind the alleged smuggling of counterfeit cigarettes in Bulacan during the buy-bust operation.
Seven people accused of smuggling counterfeit cigarettes were apprehended in various locations during a series of buy-bust operations conducted by officials in Bulacan province. According to the report, the operation was carried out in the towns of Norzagaray, Angat, and Pandi in the province of Bulacan by a joint team of the Bulacan Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU) and the Doa Remedios Trinidad Municipal Police Station (DRT).

Doa Remedios Trinidad Municipal Police Station identified the suspects as Roderick Gregorio, Cornelia Gregorio, Christopher Sito, Jayson Laboy, Raymart Torres, Enrique Jhon Gerome, and John Rupert who were now detained in their custody.
Operatives recovered a total of 241 reams of Moon cigarettes and two reams of D&B cigarettes from the seven suspects, all of which were described as “smuggled and/or untaxed cigarettes.” The detained suspects’ cases are currently being prepared for filing.
Meanwhile, police in Cavite apprehended a man accused of rebranding and tampering with Globe modems. According to Globe Telecom, the arrested person is facing accusations of violating the Access Devices Regulation Act of 1998.
In a sting operation in Pala-Pala, Brgy. Sampaloc Dasmarinas Cavite, Globe and the police seized a unit of Globe At Home Tozed S10g modem rebranded with DITO stickers from a 33-year-old suspect, according to the telco.
