Couple Nabbed During Marikina City Drug Sting; P1.6M Drugs Seized
Police authorities nabbed a couple and P1.6 million worth of illegal drugs during a series of buy-bust operations in Marikina City.
During two consecutive buy-bust operations in Marikina City, operatives from the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) seized almost P1.6 million worth of suspected shabu from five drug suspects, two of whom were in the Top 10 most wanted drug personalities.
The Marikina Police conducted a buy-bust operation in the couple’s home at No. 98 Bonanza Street, Barangay Fortune, Marikina in the first operation. According to a police report, Rudolfo A. Unarosa, 38, and Grace Joy P. Unarosa, 41, were approached by an undercover cop at 3:50 p.m.

A police officer went out and apprehended the couple after they handed over the marked money in return for shabu. At least 80 grams of suspected illegal drugs were seized from them, police said, with a street value of P544,000.
The duo was in the NCRPO’s Top 10 most wanted on illegal drugs, according to Marikina Police Chief Col. Benliner Capili. He stated that her husband, alias Rudy, is ranked fifth, while his wife Joy is ranked ninth.
Around 6 p.m., Marikina Police conducted another sting operation on Ampalaya Street in Barangay Tumana. Jonathan P. Pulido, alias “Totong,” Marifel A. Estoque, 24, and Aaron Jhon G. Guiya, 21, were arrested, according to police. They are all Marikina City residents.
Along Ampalaya Street in Barangay Tumana, the suspects transacted with an undercover police officer. The perpetrators were captured after accepting the marked money, according to investigators.
Around 170 grams of illegal drugs with a worth of about P1.1 million was seized by police. Marikina City’s police commander has vowed to continue conducting anti-illegal drug operations.
