Widowed Father of Triplets Appeals to Public for Breastmilk Donations

Widowed Father Pleads for Breastmilk Donations to Public for His Triplets

A father who was recently widowed after his wife passed away while giving birth to their triplets appeals for breastmilk donations from the public.

After losing his wife shortly after childbirth, the father is requesting breastmilk donations for the three babies. April Regal, Joel Regal’s wife, died a day after giving birth to triplets through an emergency C-section.

As a result, the triplets are now living without their mother, which is tough given that they were meant to be fed exclusively through breastfeeding. As a result, the father turned to Facebook to see if anyone had any extra breastmilk for his three young children.

During the conversation, Joel couldn’t help but cry, especially while recalling how happy his wife was to meet their three tiny angels. Joel and his wife were looking forward to seeing their children until an unexpected tragedy occurred, he said.

Joel does his hardest to be strong despite the agony, especially now that he has three children to look after. “All I want is to be with them, to hold them; I’m happy just to see their smiles,” he said in Filipino.

Fortunately, Joel’s sincere plea for assistance prompted internet users to send not only breastmilk but also clothes and diapers. Joel intends to feed them breastmilk for the first six months because nothing beats mother’s milk for nutrients.

“That’s why I’d like to say thank you very much to everyone who has been messaging us to donate,” he said.
