The Sony Xperia 1 III was officially announced on April 14, 2021. The dimension of the 5G-ready smartphone is 165 x 71 x 8.2 mm. It is built with a glass front (Gorilla Glass Victus), glass back (Gorilla Glass 6), and an aluminum frame.

Sony Xperia 1 III comes with a screen size of 6.5 inches OLED capacitive touchscreen display resolution of 1644 x 3840 pixels, a 21:9 aspect ratio. It supports Hybrid Dual SIM (Nano-SIM, dual stand-by).

The smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm SM8350 Snapdragon 888 5G Octa-core processor while the graphics processing unit (GPU) is Adreno 660. It runs on the Android 11 operating system. Xperia 1 III is packed with 12 GB RAM options while the internal storage has 256GB and 512GB options.

Sony Xperia 1 III is integrated with a quad-camera on the rear side: 12-megapixel (wide) + 12-megapixel (telephoto) + 12-megapixel (ultrawide) and 0.3-megapixel (depth). On the front, there’s an 8-megapixel (wide) camera for clicking selfies.

Sensors on the smartphone include fingerprint (side-mounted), accelerometer, gyro, proximity, barometer, compass, and color spectrum. It also features Bluetooth 5.1, GPS with dual-band A-GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, BDS, QZSS, NFC, USB Type-C 3.1, and USB On-The-Go (OTG).

Xperia 1 III is fueled with a non-removable Li-Po 4500 mAh battery + fast charging 30W + fast wireless charging + reverse wireless charging + USB Power delivery. It is available in three colors: Frosted Purple, Frosted Gray, and Frosted Black.
