Robi Domingo reveals this about Piolo Pascual
Kapamilya host Robi Domingo shared the reason why he is thankful to A-list actor Piolo Pascual for what happened to his love life now.
Robi is currently in a relationship with Maiqui Pineda who was his batchmate in Ateneo. It was late 2018 when the former Pinoy Big Brother housemate was spotted with a new girl following her breakup with Gretchen Ho.
Eventually, when Robi was asked about this, he chose to keep the details of his dating with Maiqui since she is not in showbiz. In January 2019, speculations surfaced that they are officially a couple because of a social media post of the TV host.
Indeed, they found happiness with each other and they have been sharing their sweet moments together on social media. In a recent vlog, the couple did a “Totropahin or Jojowain” game. Based on the article in The Philippine Star, one of the choices that were given to Maiqui Pineda was Piolo Pascual.
“There’s a funny story kung bakit kami nagkakilala. It’s because of that guy,” Robi Domingo said. Then, Maiqui said that they owe everything to the A-list actor.
Robi Domingo shared that the story started during the ABS-CBN’s Christmas Special after-party. The TV host said that in the past years, he would usually attend the gathering after the main event but that year, he chose to go home early because he was already tired.
Then, Piolo called Robi to ask he was not there. “Sabi ko, ‘Papa P, ayoko na, pagod na ‘ko.’ Sabi niya, ‘Mahiya ka naman. Isipin mo na lang ‘yung oras na binigay sa’yo, ‘yung tiwalang binigay sa’yo ng ABS-CBN at ‘yun na ‘yung paraan para magpasalamat ka.’ After that, ‘yun, umakyat ako,” the TV host said.
At that time, Robi was the only person at the after-party who Maiqui knew. “So I was alone lang kasi. No, I wasn’t alone, pero I didn’t know anyone except Robi. Ateneo, you know, we’re batchmates, but we’re not naman friends. Like we just knew of each other. So I said hi to him,” she said.
During the said party, Robi Domingo felt that he was very thankful because aside from feeling that sense that they are all Kapamilya, he also saw the meaning of love. Maiqui Pineda thanked Piolo Pascual for saying those words to her boyfriend.
