NBI Operatives Arrested an Online Seller of Government Agencies Stickers

The operatives of National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) arrested a person who was accused as online seller of government agencies stickers.

Agents from the National Bureau of Investigation’s Special Task Force pretended to be buyers and arrested Leon Cruz, an online vendor. When the package was opened, stickers from the President’s Office, the Presidential Security Group (PSG), and the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) were visible.

Cruz confirmed that he began selling stickers from government entities in December, but claimed he had no idea it was unlawful. Cruz claims that a government agent has asked him to customize and create these stickers.

According to the National Bureau of Investigation, executive order 141 prohibits the sale and usage of the president’s seal on clothing, stamps, passes, and other products. Individuals who break it face prison sentences ranging from one to six months.

Only workers working in the president’s office are eligible to use the office of the president sticker, according to NBI. A gunfight between police and robbery groups occurred only the other day in Laguna.

Stickers from government entities were seen on the vehicle used by the suspects. The usage of unapproved stickers, according to the NBI, is a concern referring to the shooting incident in Laguna.

They may be used to infiltrate checkpoints, according to authorities. The NBI has already filed a lawsuit against Cruz, hoping that this would serve as a lesson to him and other online dealers, especially because there are others who produce and sell stickers like these.
