The Honor Play5 5G was announced on May 18, 2021, and released on May 26, 2021. The 5G-ready smartphone comes in a 6.53 inches screen size and the display is OLED capacitive touchscreen that provides 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution.
The dimension of the smartphone is 161.6 x 74.8 x 7.5 mm and weighs 179 grams. It is available in three colors: Light Blue, Violet, and Black.
Honor Play5 5G is powered by Mediatek MT6853 Dimensity 800U 5G (7 nm) processor coupled with Mali-G57 MC3 graphics processing unit (GPU). It runs on the Android 10 + Magic UI 4.0. However, the device doesn’t come with the Play Store or other Google apps like Calendar, Maps, or Gmail.
Honor Play5 5G is packed with 8 GB while the internal storage has 128 GB and 256 GB options. It is integrated with a quad-camera on the rear side: 64-megapixel (wide) + 8-megapixel (ultrawide) + 2-megapixel (macro) and 2-megapixel (depth). For selfies, the phone comes with a 16-megapixel (wide) front camera.
It is fueled with a non-removable Li-Po 3800 mAh battery + fast charging 66W. Sensors on the phone include fingerprint (under display, optical), accelerometer, proximity, and compass. It also features Bluetooth 5.1, USB OTG, USB Type-C 2.0, NFC, GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, and BDS.
