“Team Payaman” Trends Online After 2 Fake NBI Agents Were Arrested in Quezon City

YouTube vlogger Cong TV’s “Team Payaman” goes viral on social media after the arrest of two (2) National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) agents.

Cong Velasquez, also known as Cong TV, has formed the “Team Payaman,” which consists of his friends and followers on social media. Cong created the team in order to encourage his pals to achieve success in life alongside him and inspire netizens.

The Cong’s created team recently became popular on social media after the NBI’s Facebook page posted a report of their arrest operation against two men posing as phony agents. According to the news, two individuals were arrested in Quezon City for falsely identifying themselves as NBI agents.

After a complaint from the victim saying that they entered their establishment Spa along Kamuning and presented themselves as NBI Agents by flashing their badges, the NBI-Special Task Force (NBI-STF) made the arrest. The bogus agents, according to the victim, notified their management about law enforcement operations.

When the manager called the subjects, he was informed that the establishment had broken multiple laws. The subjects then wanted Php 20,000.00 in protection money as well as P18,760.00 in repayment for surveillance expenses.

Meanwhile, the operatives took images during the arrest for documentation and posted them on their social media accounts. However, one of the photographs shared has attracted the attention of netizens who are familiar with the well-known vlogger.

The shirt worn by one of the suspects was noted by Cong’s fans. The shirt was created by one of the team’s designers. The suspect is dressed in a “Team Payaman V.2” shirt.

Apart from the gratitude that netizens have shown for the NBI agency, the photo has elicited some hilaiorus responses. Because of the resemblance, the vlogger’s fans assumed it was Burong, Yow, and Kevin.
