2 Drug Suspects Killed After Shooting Police During Operation in Muntinlupa

Authorities killed two (2) drug suspects after they allegedly fires back to policemen during the drug bust operation in Muntinlupa.

Two men were killed after allegedly fighting in a police operation against illegal drugs in Muntinlupa City. According to the PNP Drug Enforcement Group and NCRPO Regional Drug Enforcement Unit in Muntinlupa City, the deceased were allegedly members of the infamous Divinagracia group.

The police suspects and poseur buyers were about to swap money and contraband during the initial investigation. However, they reportedly panicked when they learned that the police were involved in the transactions.

In a black sedan, the two drug suspects reportedly attempted to escape. The suspects reportedly opened fire as a pretext for the officers to retaliate with gunfire, killing both of them.

The suspects were found with up to 10 kilos of shabu worth P60 million and two.45 caliber weapons, according to PNP Chief Guillermo Eleazar. The Divinagracia community is based in Region 6, but the contraband is said to originate in Metro Manila, according to Eleazar. Michael Divinagracia, the group’s leader, is said to be linked to a Chinese national who is said to be the source of illicit drugs.
