They called their project “Agapay sa Hapag Kainan modified community pantry”. According to them, it is referred to as modified because they say that there are many available for each visitor.

Kapag umalis sila, naka-ngiti, masaya,” said Mendillo.

According to an ABS-CBN study, the updated community pantry has rice, groceries, ube pandesal, coffee, eggs, vegetables, and cold cuts, which is why so many people queue. Throughout the day, up to 500 people are expected to receive assistance.

According to Mendillo, many people are starving right now and are searching for assistance and food pantries. In the midst of the hardships faced by many Filipinos who have lost their employment or jobs due to the pandemic, community pantries have sprung up all over the world.
