The Gionee M30 was announced on August 25, 2020, and released on August 31, 2020. The smartphone sports a rugged look with a leather-like finish on the back.

Gionee M30 measures 161.8 x 75.3 x 14.6 mm and weighs 305 grams. The materials used in building the device include a glass front, an aluminum frame, and aluminum back.

The smartphone comes with a screen size of 6.0 inches IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display resolution of 720 x 1440 pixels, 18:9 aspect ratio. It supports dual SIM (Nano-SIM, dual stand-by).

Gionee M30 is powered by Mediatek MT6771 Helio P60 (12 nm) processor while the graphics processing unit (GPU) is Mali-G72 MP3. The phone is integrated with 8GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage.

The rear side of the smartphone sports a 16-megapixel (wide) camera. For clicking selfies and self-shooting videos, there is a single camera on the front that features an 8-megapixel camera.

Sensors on the device include fingerprint (rear-mounted), proximity, and an accelerometer. It also features Bluetooth 4.2, USB Type-C 2.0, USB On-The-Go, FM radio, and GPS.

The smartphone is kept on by a 10000 mAh built-in battery + fast charging 25W + reverse charging. It was launched in a single color, Black.
