Bianca Gonzalez Raised the Banner of “Morena” Beauty on Her Post
TV host Bianca Gonzalez flaunts and raised the banner of the “morena” beauty of her fellow women in her Instagram post amid the discriminations.
Bianca Gonzalez, a Filipina television host and model, recently shared a snapshot of herself when she was 17 years old on Instagram. She captioned it with words that emphasized the importance of people with dark skin, or “morena.”
Bianca wrote in her caption that brown or dark-skinned people are not pitiful, and that they do not think of their skin color as a detriment. “Hindi ‘kawawa’ ang morena. Hindi dehado, hindi lugi, hindi pangit ang maitim kumpara sa maputi,” she said.
The host has dark skin as well, but she never found herself to be on the losing end when opposed to fair-skinned people. “Tama na ang harmful messaging na yan, please,” she wrote
She also made an appeal to those who continued to harp on how pretty or attractive anyone may be whether they have fair or white skin. She went on to say that her message is for her as well as any other brown or dark-skinned girls or boys who may come across her message.
“A That would be my message to 17-year old me in this picture, and to all other brown-skinned girls (and boys!) who might be reading this,” the TV host concluded.
