Airplane’s Emergency Exit Door Flies Off Moments Before Flight

MINNEAPOLIS – Passengers were left in terror as their airplane’s emergency exit door flies off right before take-off.

Certainly, there are many of us who get nervous right before our flights. However, these passengers had a nightmare situation right before them in the runway of Minneapolis-Saint Paul international airport.

According to reports from WUPM, the aircraft was a small, eight-seater plane. Among the passengers aboard named Tom Yon described the experience saying:

We were just about to take off probably going, I don’t know 100 miles per hour, and the door just flew off, a loud bang, and the door flew off and the noise and the wind and everything. I didn’t even see my bag get sucked out of the plane. I got it right here, this bag right here, got sucked right out of the plane. They gave it to me about an hour after take-off.

Luckily, nobody was hurt during the incident and the flight stopped before it was off the ground. Surely enough, Yon emphasized that the experience was extremely frightening.

“If there would have been a person sitting on the plane with a baby on their lap, I don’t know what would have happened”, he added. Meanwhile, another passenger named Mike Parra stated that if it weren’t for the safety strap, him and his daughter would be on the runway.

The airline responsible for the event, Botique airlines announced that the two pilots failed to adhere to pre-flight checklists. As a result, they were terminated from their contracts.
