As such, the French Saint-Cyr military college deployed a “Spot” robot dog with them on their street fighting training exercises. Still, Boston Dynamics’ ethics remains. This meant that they never want its autonomous machines to be used to hurt individuals.

Following this, in a response to the surfacing photos, Boston Dynamics Vice President Michael Perry said:

We do not want any customer using the robot to harm people. This forward deployment model… is something that we need to better understand to determine whether it is actively being used to harm people.

Unfortunately, despite his firm comments, countries around the world have already invested in Boston Dynamics’ Robot Dog. Among these are powerhouses such as the US and the UK. Furthermore, both countries refused to back down development after China and Russia both boasted about already developing their own autonomous systems.

Meanwhile, with everybody using Spot for war, one YouTuber named Michael Reeves used the highly advanced robot to “Pee Beer In A Cup“. According to him, he did the project out of spite against the company for not responding to his messages.
