The Honor V40 Lite was released on March 28, 2021. The 5G-ready smartphone runs on the Android 10 + Magic UI 4.0 operating system.

Honor V40 Lite is powered by Mediatek MT6853 Dimensity 800U 5G (7 nm) processor while the graphics processing unit (GPU) is Mali-G57 MC3. The phone is integrated with 8GB of RAM while the internal storage has 128GB and 256GB options.

The smartphone comes with a screen size of 6.57” OLED capacitive touchscreen display resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels, 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The dimension of the device is 160.1 x 75.1 x 7.6 mm and weighs 169 grams.

Honor V40 Lite supports dual SIM (Nano-SIM, dual stand-by). The rear camera consists of a 64-megapixel (wide) + 8-megapixel (ultrawide) + 2-megapixel (depth) + 2-megapixel (macro) while on the front, there is a single 32-megapixel (wide) camera.

The device is powered by a 3800 mAh Li-Po battery (non-removable) + fast charging 66W + reverse charging 5W. It is available in three colors: Green, Blue, and Black.

Sensors on the V40 Lite include a compass, proximity, fingerprint (under display, optical, accelerometer, and gyro. The phone also features Bluetooth 5.1, USB Type-C 2.0, USB On-The-GO, NFC, GPS with A-GPS, GALILEO, GLONASS, and BDS.
