The Samsung Galaxy M42 5G was announced on April 28, 2021, and released on May 1, 2021. The smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm SM7225 Snapdragon 750G 5G (8 nm) Octa-core processor while the graphics processing unit (GPU) is Adreno 619.
Samsung Galaxy M42 5G runs on the Android 11 + One UI 3.1 operating system. The device is integrated with 6GB and 8GB of RAM while the internal storage has 128GB. Galaxy M43 5G supports hybrid dual SIM (Nano-SIM, dual stand-by).
The dimension of the 5G-ready smartphone is 164.4 x 75.9 x 8.6 mm and weighs 190 grams. It comes with a screen size of 6.6” inches Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels, 20:9 aspect ratio.
The rear side of the Samsung Galaxy M42 5G features a quad-camera that consists of 48-megapixel (wide) + 8-megapixel (ultrawide) + 5-megapixel (macro) + 5-megapixel (depth). On the front, there’s a 20-megapixel (wide) camera for clicking selfies.
It is fueled with a non-removable Li-Po 5000 mAh battery + fast charging 15W. The smartphone was launched in Prism Dot Gray and Prism Dot Black colors.
Sensors on the device include fingerprint (under display, optical), compass, proximity, accelerometer, proximity, and gyro. It also features NFC, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS with A-GPS, BDS, GALILEO, GLONASS, FM Radio, USB OTG, and USB Type-C 2.0.
