The Xiaomi Redmi K40 Gaming was officially announced on April 27, 2021. The gaming phone is powered by Mediatek MT6893 Dimensity 1200 5G (12 nm) processor while the GPU is a Mali-G77 MC9.

Xiaomi Redmi K40 Gaming runs on the Android 11 + MIUI 12.5 operating system. It comes in variants such as 128GB + 6GB RAM, 128GB + 8GB RAM, 128GB + 12GB, 256GB + 8GB and 256GB + 12GB RAM.

The smartphone supports dual SIM (Nano-SIM, dual stand-by). Redmi K40 Gaming comes with a screen size of 6.67 inches OLED capacitive touchscreen display resolution of 1080 x 2400pixels, 20:9 aspect ratio.

Xiaomi Redmi K40 Gaming 161.9 x 76.9 x 8.3 mm and weighs 205 grams. It is built with a glass front (Gorilla Glass 5) and a glass back (Gorilla Glass 5).

The rear camera consists of a 64-megapixel (wide) + 8-megapixel (ultrawide) + 2-megapixel (macro) while on the front, there is a single 16-megapixel camera.

The gaming phone is powered by a 5065 mAh Li-Po battery (non-removable) + fast charging 67W + power delivery 3.0 + quick charge 3+. It was launched in Black, Gray, Silver, and Bruce Lee Yellow colors.

Connectivity options on the phone include WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/6, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS with dual-band A-GPS, GALILEO, GLONASS, BDS, QZSS, NavIC, NFC, Infrared port, USB On-The-Go, and USB Type-C 2.0. The device’s sensors include a barometer, compass, proximity, gyro, accelerometer, color spectrum, and fingerprint (side-mounted).
