Why did netizens say that Zac Efron went under the knife?
High School Musical and Baywatch actor Zac Efron caught the attention of the online community because of a photo of him that circulated online stirring plastic surgery speculations.
The said was taken from the Bill Nye’s “Earth Day! The Musical video’ on Facebook. Zac had a virtual appearance along with other celebrities.
However, eagle-eyed netizens noticed something was different about him. The actor showcased a more masculine feature and more defined jawline. Because netizens could not help but speculate that he had plastic surgery, or botox, or had some fillers.
It was also inevitable that some netizens aired body-shaming comments. There were also those who questioned why he had to undergo that transformation when his face is already “perfect”, based on the article in E Online.
On the other hand, many fans of Zac Efron defended him against bashing. Some of his supporters noted that the actor went through several physical challenges in the past. Reportedly, there was a time when he broke his jaw in 2013 and had to wired shot his mouth. For them, these factor might have led him in having his transformation.
Based on the article, Zac also has been open about certain kinds of diet he does in order to fit his body into the role that he is playing, just like what he did when he shot Baywatch.
“When I shot Baywatch, I didn’t have a carb for, like, six months… I almost lost my mind. You need this. I still can’t get over how this diet of carbs and low protein is the exact opposite of everything any trainer has ever taught me,” the actor shared.
As of this writing, Zac Efron has not addressed yet the plastic surgery speculations.
