Jimuel Pacquiao Should Only Focus on Showbiz not Boxing Says Manny and Jinkee
Star Magic talent Jimuel Pacquiao shares that his parents Senator Manny and Jinkee Pacquiao prefers showbiz instead of boxing.
Senator Manny and Jinkee Pacquiao, Jimuel Pacquiao’s parents, prefer that he pursue a career in show business rather than follow in his father’s footsteps as a boxer. According to the young man, he never saw himself working in the film industry as an actor when he was younger.
Manny and Jinkee’s son was officially introduced as a founding member of Star Magic and ABS-Squad CBN’s Plus party yesterday. Jimuel claims that he never expected to receive so many offers.
“So naisipan ko na subukan kasi even in high school I had experience din naman when it comes to acting so I want to give it a try and see how it goes from here,” Jimuel said at the Squad Plus media launch.

The young man was also questioned about how his parents responded when he decided to pursue a career in show business. He said that they were extremely helpful. His parents are either in show business or boxing, and they are in show business because they don’t want him to box.
“When it comes to showbiz, they’re very supportive naman. They made sure in the beginning na I really wanted to go in kasi it’s very taxing daw schedule-wise. So parang tinanong nila talaga ako bago ako pumasok,” Jimuel explained.
Because of the fame of his father, who is a boxing champion as well as a senator, he is also very accustomed to the rumors and intrigues that come with becoming a celebrity.
“Medyo sanay na ako ngayon kasi ever since kahit nung maliit pa kami, grabe na yung attention sa dad ko. Every time he has his fights, nasasali kami sa mga interviews, ganu’n,” he said.
“Meron pa rin naman akong private life. Like I know what not to show to people and stuff like that. I think it’s because I’m used to it na ngayon since maliit pa kami,” the young man added.
Now that he’s in show business, his parents aren’t shy about giving him advice: “The most important thing is really with God.” All will fall into place if you glorify God in everything you do.
