Missing Indonesian Submarine Found Cracked Apart In Sea Floor, Crew Dead
MISSING INDONESIAN SUBMARINE – The missing Indonesian submarine was found off the waters of Bali, Indonesia.
Unfortunately, the vessel had already cracked apart as it lied on the seabed with all of its crew dead. According to reports, 53 personnel were inside the submarine.
Rescuers said they received a signal from the location more than 800 meters of 2,600 feet deep underwater on early Sunday morning. Afterward, the military used an underwater submarine rescue vehicle to confirm the visuals of the sunken vessel.

“There were parts of KRI Nanggala 402—it was broken into three pieces”, said Navy Chief of Staff Yudo Margono. Sadly, the military confirmed the submarine had sunk, ending any hopes of finding survivors.
Following the distress signals, the navy and military scrambled in hopes for a miraculous rescue. Racing against time, warships, planes, and marine vessels tried desperately to find the submarine that went missing during training exercises.
“With deep sadness, I can say that all 53 personnel onboard have passed“, said Hadi Tjahjanto, Indonesia’s military head.
Meanwhile, authorities are still trying to piece how the submarine sunk. As such, officials have yet to provide specific information regarding the tragedy. However, they did disclose that the submarine may have had a blackout which led several crew unable to resurface.
Furthermore, the military discounted an explosion as a cause of the accident. But, evidence suggested that the submarine broke apart as it was crushed by the depths of the deep ocean more than 800 meters down.
