DSWD Relief Box With Stickers From Congressman, Councilor Slammed On Social Media
DSWD RELIEF BOX – Amid the coronavirus pandemic, politicians politicking through “ayuda” boxes went viral.
Due to lockdowns and budget cuts, millions of working-class Filipinos have lost their sources of income. As such, many Filipinos rely on relief boxes to get through the pandemic.
However, according to some netizens, politicians used this as an opportunity to further promote themselves. On the social media platform Reddit, a user from Quezon City posted a picture of a relief box from DSWD with stickers from a congressman and a councilor.
“I work at QC govt and I am sick of these. They even “donated” prescription pads and medical certificate pads to us with their name and logo on them. I had to fucking cut it out in order to use it for my patients. They suck and I never want to be affiliated with those kinds of people“, one netizen commented.
Meanwhile, others called out the Crisologos for “plaguing the 1st district of QC for a very long time”. The original uploader of the photo, u/mshaneler said: “They know that repackaging the content is illegal but still want to take credit.”
