This is how Taylor Swift showed gratitude to a frontline nurse
Grammy-award winning singer-songwriter Taylor Swift surprised a frontline nurse who mentioned in an interview that she is listening to her song when she is relaxing.
Britta Thomason, the heads the Air Evac Lifeteam base in Dublin, Georgia, said an interview with a local newspaper last month that the songs of Swift is her vibe during the time of her relaxation. The nurse is just among who have been dedicating their time and effort to help the community amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Based on the article in ABS-CBN, Thomason is a member of Nurse Navigation Line for Global Medical Response crews sent to New York and New Jersey last year.
A few weeks after her interview, she received an answerphone message from the representative of Taylor Swift. She was told that she will received a package from the singer. A day after that, a big box arrived and the nurse was so touched when she opened it.
“When I opened it, I was so nervous. I was shaking just because it was so surreal. I thought … there’s no way that this is what it is. When I opened it, the letter was actually sitting on top … I opened it up and I didn’t actually read the whole thing immediately. I just looked down … and saw her signature and I was in just complete shock,” she said.
The box contained different merchandise like T-shirts, blanket, notenook, candles, and a champagne glass. Above all these, Thomason was overwhelmed by the hand-written message she received from Swift.
“My favourite part about the letter is at the very end she said, ‘I’ll be thinking about you and forever grateful, love Taylor’,” the nurse said.
Britta Thomason also shared her message for Taylor Swift. “I would say thank you for thinking of me and … all the healthcare workers out there, that essentially she’s saying thank you to,” she said.
