How Gerald Anderson Cope W/ Financial Impacts of the COVID-19 Pandemic

GERALD ANDERSON – Kapamilya actor Gerald Anderson revealed how his gym and resort got affected by the pandemic.

Filipino-American actor Gerald Anderson has been in the entertainment industry for more than a decade now. Throughout his showbiz career, he also had his share of success and struggles.

He started his career as a housemate of ABS-CBN’s reality show ‘Pinoy Big Brother.’ During his interview with ‘King of Talk’ Boy Abunda, he shared that he was scouted by a talent manager and that was the start of his career through the reality show.

Aside from acting, Gerald Anderson also handles his businesses. He owns a gym called ‘The Th3d Floor’ In Quezon City and the ‘Hayati’ private resort in Batangas.

The 32-year-old actor talked about his businesses during Rogin-E’s #StaminaForMen event. He said that his gym and resort were affected by the pandemic.

Gerald Anderson admitted that he has to really save his money to compensate for the loss of business during the lockdown. He said, “Oh yes, ngayon sobra. Hindi ako masyadong maluho na tao. Hindi naman ako mahilig sa mga mamahalin na damit or mga sapatos. I think nung mas bata bata ako mas sasakyan. So yun yung blessing. Yung sa gym stamina talaga, tiis yung mga adjustments na malaki. Yung sa resort naman, kumbaga naka-ready na siya. Nung pandemic naman, nag-stay din ako dun.”

“Nag-prepare ako, nag-aayos ng konti, nag-pintura ako, nag-linis kami. Kumbaga lagi naman siyang ready pag talagang puwedeng puwede na, yung tuloy tuloy na mga guests, mga ganyan. So tiis at perseverance lang. Alam niyo naman ako mahilig ako sa challenges so parang siyang challenge, para siyang math din eh. Mas thorough, mas pulido yung finances ko,” he added.

Gerald Anderson said he wants to focus on his businesses this year. Despite the challenges he faced last year which include the shutdown of the Kapamilya network, he still considers himself lucky to continually have work. He is now preparing for his new tv series titled “Init Sa Magdamag.”
