Puerto Princesa Councilor Apologizes as Vehicle Used for Outreach Sink in River
A councilor in Puerto Princesa, Palawan apologized online after the vehicle they use for outreach program sink in the river due to deep quarry.
On Facebook, Puerto Princesa’s councilor Sultan Lope Empuerto – Damasco apologized to taxpayers of their town after the vehicle that supposed to carry them to an outreach program in Sitio Mangapin in Brgy. Langogan sinks in the river.

According to his post, they want to reach the aforementioned barangay to bring help to the indigenous brothers and sisters with the whole team of Kuya Raul Levita of Iwahig. However, their vehicle sinks as their driver didn’t know that the middle part of the river is too deep.
“Sa kagustuhan naming marating ang Sitio Mangapin sa Brgy. Langogan upang magdala ng tulong sa mga kapatid nating mga katutubo kasama ang boung team ni Kuya Raul Levita ng Iwahig, nabahura po kami sa gitna ng ilog, malalim pala,” the councilor wrote.
He revealed that the deep part of the river is due to pits made by quarry operators in the area. He also said people inside the vehicle are all wet.
Luckily, nothing happens something bad to their team and the outreach program was successfully carried out, based on the photos shared by the counselor in his Facebook account.
