Bea Alonzo shared she knew someone with Alzheimer’s disease
Actress Bea Alonzo shared her first-hand experience with a person who has Alzheimer’s disease which is also her role in her upcoming movie with Alden Richards.
For the first time, Bea and Alden are set to work together in a film titled A Moment To Remember, which was based on the Japanese series Pure Soul and it was also had a South Korean movie version.
In the movie, Bea will play the role of a wife who has Alzheimer’s disease. She shared, based on the article in GMA Entertainment, that she knew someone who had this disease – the grandmother of her ex-boyfriend.
“I really felt bad for her nung lagi namin siyang nakakasama but sa family namin, wala naman kaming lahi,” Bea Alonzo shared.
She also shared how she prepared for her role in this movie. Bea said that she watched videos about the disease and she is quite anxious regarding her role.
“Tsaka I really feel for those na tinamaan ng disease, and for those who are taking care of those people who have Alzheimer’s because it’s not easy,” the actress added.
Bea, on the other hand, stressed that the Filipino version of this story will focus on the realities of life surrounding Alzheimer’s disease.
Her role in the movie will highlight the character’s struggles in losing her identity and keeping her relationship with her husband.
Prior to this movie project, Alden and Bea already worked together on a shampoo commercial.
A Moment To Remember Filipino version is co-produced by Viva Films, GMA Pictures, and APT Entertainment.
