Aga Muhlach has this birthday message for Lea Salonga
Broadway star Lea Salonga shared the birthday message that she received from her former movie partner award-winning actor Aga Muhlach.
Lea turned 50 years old last February 22. Her name trended on Twitter due to her golden birthday as many netizens greeted and celebrated with her for her special day.
A day after her birthday, the singer-actress shared a screenshot of the message that Aga sent her. “Happy birthday dearest,” the actor wrote. Lea thanked him and jokingly said that he’s alive.
She also said that she already joined Aga in the “50 club”. The actor is now 51 years old. This conversation that Lea Salonga had with Aga Muhlach brought “kilig” to their fans.
In the comment section of this post of Lea, one netizen shared a screenshot of Aga’s comment on Instagram saying that the “hopia nation” is one alert again.
This goes to show that there are still a lot of fans that their reunion movie will still happen.
The fandom of their onscreen tandem has been anticipating their reunion project for quite a long time now. They did a movie together in 1992 titled Bakit Labis Kitang Mahal. It was followed by another romantic film, Sana Maulit Muli, in 1995.
In an interview back in 2017, Lea Salonga revealed the reason why she and Aga Muhlach did not become a couple. She said that when they did their first movie together, she had a boyfriend. For their second movie, Aga was the one who was in a relationship.
