Why did Bea Alonzo wait seven years to have her first luxury bag?
Actress Bea Alonzo revealed that it took her seven years to buy her first luxury bag and here is the reason why.
Bea is indeed one of the most in-demand actresses in this generation. Aside from her showbiz stints, she now has invested in some properties like the farm in Zambales that she bought for her mother Mary Ann. She also has a restaurant business.
In an interview with PEP, Bea proudly shared that she is glad her mother handles their finances very well.
“So kahit na isang taon na akong hindi nagtatrabaho, okay pa naman kami. And I’m very happy that my mom really invested in properties and businesses na hindi nasayang. So, right now, parang feeling ko sustainable naman yung pamumuhay namin,” she shared.
As Bea Alonzo also went through a humble beginning in show business, she had to set her priorities when it comes to their expenses. She shared that since she is the breadwinner, her talent fee was used to support her family.
Years later, as she was already establishing her name in the entertainment industry, Bea said that she took a wise step for her money.
“Nung may sumosobra, doon na talagang… There was a point na 50 percent talaga went to my savings or more. And, I made sure talaga, hindi naman sa ano, but I’m very proud of this, that I didn’t even purchase a designer bag for myself bago ko napatayuan ng bahay at nabigyan ng business ang nanay ko,” the actress shared.
She stressed that after seven years of her career in showbiz, that was the only time that she bought a luxury bag for herself.
