P300K Worth Of Illegal Drugs Seized In Buy Busts In Camarines Norte
CAMARINES NORTE – Anti-drug operatives in Camarines Norte have recently seized about P300,000 worth of drugs in separate buy-busts there.
In the municipality of Daet, the police have nabbed high-value targets, identified as Mark Jay Ramos, aged 22 and a resident of Barangay Poblacion Norte, Paracale town; and Princess Baute, aged 27 and a resident of Barangay Gahonon, according to Bicol police spokesperson Major Maria Luisa Calubaquib, according to Inquirer.
The suspects were caught selling illegal drugs in a buy-bust operation in Barangay 1 in Daet at about 9:200 PM on Tuesday, February 9.
Retrieved from the suspects were 16 sachets of illegal drugs which weigh 50 grams and are worth about P150,000. Also recovered was P20,000 marked money, the police added.
Based on the report, meanwhile, in Paracale, anti-narcotics operatives also arrested two suspected drug personalities and retrieved at about P150,000 worth of illegal drugs in a separate buy bust operation on Wednesday.
Paracale police chief Major Elezaldy Calingacion said that the cops arrested Zaldy Galleta Jr., aged 32, and Melona Atentar, aged 40, in Barangay Poblacion Norte at 1:50 AM.
Calingacion said that the suspects were newly identified drug personalities. Retrieved from them were six sachets of suspected illegal drugs weighing 20 grams.
They are currently in police custody and facing charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
