Showbiz or basketball? Andre Paras has this answer
TV host-actor Andre Paras was asked what he will choose between showbiz and basketball and here is what he said.
It is known to many that Andre is the son of PBA legend Benjie Paras who had a remarkable career in the field of professional basketball. However, it is a known fact that Benjie also entered the world of showbiz.
That is why it is not surprising that Andre also entered the entertainment industry, as his mother Jackie Forster was also an actress. On the other hand, Andre Paras recently announced that he applied for the PBA draft.
When asked about this, based on the article in gmanetwork.com, the TV host-actor said he applied because he wants to chase his dream and he has always wanted to play this kind of sports.
Despite having this career move when it comes to his passion for basketball, Andre clarified that he is not leaving GMA Network as he is now a host of Game of the Gens with Sef Cadayona.
“GMA has supported me with my decision. March 14, around that date, I’ve heard that’s the draft, so kahit papaano naman I’m very thankful, kasi I have time to do tapings for ‘Game of the Gens’ and I can still train individually,” he shared.
When asked what he will choose between showbiz and basketball, Andre Paras said that both make him happy and that he is enjoying the best of both worlds.
“Both make me happy, but there might come a time, when I have to choose and I don’t know the answer to that yet.So, I guess, makikita n’o na lang one day, pagtingin n’yo ng TV–Am I on court or kung wala, e, di nasa TV ako. So, you’ll know the answer to that,” Andre Paras said.
