Contact Tracing Czar Admits Violations Of Health Protocols During Tim Yap Party
HEALTH PROTOCOL VIOLATIONS – The country’s own contact tracing czar Mayor Benjamin Magalong admits to breaking health protocols when he attended a huge party organized by Tim Yap.
Tim Yap, known for his extravagance in celebrations, hosted a party at the Manor at Camp John Hay. Several big-name guests also appeared in the photos. Among these guests were Magalong and his wife.
In the photos and videos, guests can be seen breaking social distancing with no masks on. Afterward, Magalong got interviewed on Teleradyo where he confirmed that there were violations of minimum health requirements amongst guests.
According to an article from Inquirer, the contact tracing czar said:
Meron pa rin. Even my wife violated it kasi nagtanggal yan because may picture-taking…
May picture-taking, may umiikot na picture-taking, syempre siguro sa excitement, yung iba na-excite, nagtatanggal ng masks pampicture picture. Pero ako po, lagi akong nakamask
In his defense, he explained that it just so happened that we’re only humans at times and there are moments where people forget to comply with health protocols, especially during events such as the party.
However, despite himself admitting to violating protocols, he stressed that the Manor is already being investigated.
“Meron po kaming ordinansa na ipinapatupad na pag hindi ka nagwear ng mask while in a public place, you have to be fined… This is something na iniimbestigahan ng aming legal office
But, Yap, during an interview said that all guests of the party had tested negative for COVID-19 as it was a requirement to visit Baguio City.
