According to him, he was using a crutch due to a sprained ankle when he fell. He said that when he was walking outside with his pet Billy, he noticed that he was walking with an injured leg, so he took him to the vet for a checkup.
He allegedly spent £ 300 or the equivalent of about P20,000 for vet fees, x-rays and pain medication for Billy’s foot. The veterinarian said he did not see any defects in the dog’s foot and admitted to Russel that he could do nothing for Billy.
Russell’s wife Michelle developed a suspicion that one day she saw Billy running normally in the garden while Russell was away. Russell tried to wander Billy to prove Michelle’s suspicion that it had nothing to do with the foot.
Instead of walking he rode a motorcycle while the dog walked. Billy walks normally. There he found out that the pet only walks like having a limp when he also walks.
