The Harry Potter TV series is reportedly in the works

Is it true that the Harry Potter TV series is set to happen? Here is the statement from Warner Bros. and HBO.

This fantasy story about wizardry was created by best-selling author J.K. Rowling. It is considered one of the most popular book series of all time. In 2001, the first movie, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone was released, featuring Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint.

Following that, the other seven parts of the film series were released that even broaden the scope of Harry Potter fandom. Reports stated that the film series has grossed nearly $8 billion worldwide. 

Fantastic Beast film series, the prequel spin-off of Harry Potter already released 2 movies and the third one reportedly is set to be released in 2022.

In a recent article in Variety, it was said that after the books and film series, Harry Potter TV series is reportedly in its very early development.

According to the writeup, there had been speculations that a TV series about the wizardry story have been persisted to pursue and apparently it is moving ahead.

As of the writing, there is no name being pointed yet as writers and talent but there had been talks with many writers regarding this potential series.

However, despite multiple sources stating that there is a possibility that the TV series will push through, Warner Bros. and HBO have this statement: “There are no Harry Potter series in development at the studio or on the streaming platform.”
