The HONOR 30S was announced on March 30, 2020, and released on April 7, 2020. The smartphone is powered by HiSilicon Kirin 820 5G processor while the GPU is Mali-G57 6.

HONOR 30S runs on the Android 10.0 (AOSP + HMS) + Magic UI 3.1 operating system. The smartphone has 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.

The smartphone comes in 6.5 inches size and the display is LTPS IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen that provides 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution. The phone measures 162.3 x 75 x 8.6mm and weighs 190 grams. The phone has Aluminosilicate glass protection.

The HONOR 30S features a quad-camera that consists of 64-megapixel (wide) + 8-megapixel (telephoto) + 8-megapixel ultrawide) + 2-megapixel (depth). It sports a 16-megapixel (wide) camera on the front for clicking selfies.

Honor 30S comes with additional features such as GPS with A-GPS, BDS, GLONASS, Bluetooth 5.1, 3.5mm jack, USB OTG, and USB Type-C 2.0. It is powered by a 4000 mAh Li-Po battery (non-removable) + fast charging 40W.

Sensors on the phone include a compass, proximity, gyro, accelerometer, and fingerprint (side-mounted). It was launched in Butterfly Feather Red, Gradient, Green, Blue, and Black colors.
