Elderly PWD Dies In Fire In Pasong Tamo, Quezon City
ELDERLY PWD DIES IN FIRE – A tragic incident occurred on early Wednesday as an elderly person-with-disability died in a fire.
According to authorities, a 63-year-old woman died inside a house fire that struck a residential area in Quezon City. Based on a report from GMA, the Bureau of Fire Protection Station 6 said the woman was trapped in her room as the flames razed her home in Pasong Tamo, QC.
Fire Captain Aloysius Borromeo said there was no electricity in her home with merely a candle as a source of light. Currently, authorities suspect that the candle caused the flames.
However, investigations are still on going regarding the cause of the fire. Sadly, the senior citizen was alone during the blaze. Furthermore, her complications as a pwd also prevented her from escaping the fire.
As per the report, the fire was put out at around 7:33 a.m.
