MRT Launches Contact Tracing App “MRT-3 Trace”

MRT LAUNCHES CONTACT TRACING APP – Starting Monday, passengers of the Manila Railway Transit (MRT) may use their contact tracing app “MRT-3 Trace”.

Amid the coronavirus pandemic, several contact tracing apps have been developed. However, this would be the first contact tracing app developed specifically for the MRT.

To access the application, passengers simply need to go to their website trace.dotrmrt3.gov.ph and sign up. Afterward, the passengers need to fill-out the time of travel and the station where they got in and out.

Meanwhile, passengers without internet may use the contact tracing form available in the MRT stations. Along with this, Quezon City also launched Kyusipass, a separate contact tracing app for the establishments in Quezon.

In order to use the app, residents of Quezon City simply need to register themselves at the Safe Pass website for them to be given a QR code which will be used to enter offices and establishments across the city.

Once the QR code has been saved, it can be used even without internet or printed out an laminated for easier access.
