Photos of The Ancestral House of the Grandfather of Joey De Leon Goes Viral
Photos of the ancestral house from the grandfather of comedian-host Joey De Leon went viral on social media and earned various reactions.
A netizen named “Jay Patao” featured the amazing photos on the Facebook page “Memories of Old Manila.” The Henyo Master grandfather named Ramon Gonzales De Leon made it in 1923 in Malolos, Bulacan.
The house is a modest creation of woodwork architecture. It is designed specifically for our tropical weather and located on Cigarillera Street right by the banks of Malolos River, based on the post.

Patao said that no one lives in the house exept from the caretaker and his family. “caretaker and his family who were gracious enough to allow us in, check the interior and take photographs,” Patao said.
“The walls of the house were decorated with diplomas, sepia photographs of the residents of the past. There was a photo of a relative with Emilio Aguinaldo and the stalwarts of Malolos at the time of the First Philippine Republic.”
“Joey’s grandfather, Ramon Gonzales de Leon, was the first mayor of Malolos during the American occupation and served between 1903-1905,” Patao added.
The photos of the ancestral house have gone viral on social media. Netizens also express various reactions towards the photos as they were amazed by it.
