Is it true that Maja Salvador demanded this from her former home network?
Actress-dancer Maja Salvador allegedly demanded a guaranteed contract from ABS-CBN even though its franchise was denied.
After the House of Representative denied the franchise application of the Kapamilya network, several artists and employees opted to find jobs in other media companies.
ABS-CBN also told its employees and talents that the company has allowed them to do so. Among the artists who were given projects in other networks is Maja who is now part of Sunday Noontime Live airing on TV5 at the same timeslot with her former show ASAP Natin ‘To.
Based on the article entertainment columnist Salve Asis in Pilipino Star Ngayon, Maja Salvador demanded to have a guaranteed contract. This is despite the fact that ABS-CBN has not secured its franchise renewal.
The term guaranteed contract means securing the “guaranteed amount” even if the contract will be terminated. According to Asis, Maja did this when ABS-CBN tried to stop her to accept projects from other networks.
The columnist added that Rambo Nunez, the boyfriend of the actress-dancer is practically the one handling her career now.
As Senate President Tito Sotto recently filed a bill seeking the franchise renewal of ABS-CBN, Asis questioned in her article if this will be the signal that former Kapamilya artists will go back to their former mother network.
The lawmaker who has been part of the entertainment industry aimed this after seeing that the ratings of Kapamilya shows airing on A2Z are still high.
The columnist also asked if Maja Salvador will be one of those who will return if ABS-CBN will have its franchise once again.
