DOLE released this 2021 in-demand jobs information
These are the 2021 in-demand jobs as released by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).
The year 2020 has been a rough time for many workers, especially those who have no fixed income and those who were retrenched due to the pandemic.
Many business owners decided to just shut down their stores or establishments as the country and most of the countries in the world are suffering from the consequences of the deadly virus.
However, DOLE shed a light of hope to many jobless as the agency released information about the 2021 in-demand jobs. Based on the article from Radyo La Verdad, the labor department stated that there were already 4 million unemployed Filipinos before the pandemic and 3 million more lose their jobs due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
From this number, most are from the businesses that were forced to close due to the health crisis in the Philippines. The number of jobseekers is expected to increase as newly-graduates will also find jobs.
“So ito ay stiff competition kung baga at ang mga job opportunities naman ay maaaring hindi ganun kalaki ang ma jenerate ng ating ekonomiya na number of employment kaya hindi niya rin maaabsorb lahat ng ating job seekers in the labor market,” DOLE Asec Dominique Tutay said.
However, the labor department sees an opportunity for people who will be needed to fill the in-demand jobs next year. These jobs include those in the medical field such as nurse, medical technologist, and pharmacist.
It is also expected that many workers in the construction field will be needed. Civil, mechanical, and electrical engineers, as well architects are in-demand in 2021.
Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) companies will also cater more employees next year. Aside from these, there are also vacant positions in government agencies.
