VP Robredo Red-Tagged, Asks Netizens To Help Stop Fake News
ROBREDO RED-TAGGED – Vice President Leni Robredo called out to netizens to report fake news linking her as a communist on social media.
Recently, red-tagging has become even more prevalent amid the coronavirus pandemic. We can recall that even celebrities such as Liza Soberano and Angel Locsin fell victim to red-tagging for extending support to rights groups such as Gabriella.
This time, it seemed like the Vice President has fell victim to these attacks. Robredo posted on her social media accounts screenshots of posts showing false quotation cards and fake documentation. Furthermore most of these were posted to either criticize or ridicule the Vice President.

Additionally, one of these quotation cards linked her to the Communist Party of the Philippines and the New People’s Army. Moreover, these cards claimed that the Vice President was supporting and advocating to protect members of the CPP and the NPA.
Meanwhile, as a response to these attacks, Robredo said:
It gets crazier and crazier. Now I am being red-tagged. None of the allegations here are true. Please help us report these peddlers of fake news…
Pare pareho at halos sabay sabay ang labas. So mukhang eto yung script this week
Along with this, the Vice President also posted a document which supposedly came from her that used the logo of the Office of the Vice President (OVP). On her Facebook account she captioned:
“Lols. Obviously not mine. This is fake news (again and again) Pls report anyone who shares or posts this”
