Barangay Hall in Iligan Dubbed as “Bahay ni Kap” after House Concept Copied from PBB
BAHAY NI KAP – A newly constructed barangay hall in Iligan City gone viral on social media after concept looks like Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) house.
The new barangay hall of San Miguel in Iligan City earned various reactions from the netizen as its design was copied from the iconic ‘Pinoy Big Brother’ house. The barangay hall was dubbed as ‘Bahay ni Kap’ likely called from ‘Bahay ni Kuya.’
According to the post of ABS-CBN, it was inaugurated a few days before the start of ‘PBB Connect’ on Sunday. Iligan City Representative Frederick Siao, who shared the photos, said his office funded P5 million to build it.

Meanwhile, the viral barangay hall garnered various reactions and comments from netizens. Netizens hilariously suggested what to add to the said barangay hall.
A netizen said, “The structure of the building which is PBB-inspired will remind us that we, members of the council together with our constituents, should work hand-in-hand and perform our tasks to have a better and well developed Barangay.”
Other netizen added, “Lagyan din sana ng maraming camera sa loob para makita ni ‘Kuya Kap’ ang mga kawatan at gumagawa nang masama.” Some says that just like the situation from the Big Brother house, officials could only hear voices and only show up when final night is near
