Parokya ni Edgar frontman Chito Miranda reacted to a netizen who scrutinized K-Pop stars in his recent social media post.
PNE is one of the popular rock bands that blossomed during the 90s. However, their popularity still continues to linger until now. Their success has reached the millennial generation and most of the new bands are looking up to what they have achieved in the music industry.
The recent post of Chito is an obvious proof that many music lovers are still supporting their songs. He shared an update from popular music streaming platform Spotify.
It was stated there that in OPM, the songs of Parokya ni Edgar is on the number 5 spot while they are on the number 8 when it comes to bands/groups in the Philippines.
Because of this, Chito Miranda expressed gratitude to all the fans who have been supporting their music throughout the years. Several fans of the Pinoy band also expressed continued support for them.
However, based on the article from Abante Entertainment, this post of PNE vocalist received a negative comment. It was said that a netizens commented a scrutiny against K-Pop artists. In the list of top bands/groups, two popular South Korean groups were included, the BTS and Blackpink.
In line with this, Chito Miranda replied with this, “Bakit kayo galit sa trip ng iba? Kanya kanyang trip lang yan eh. ‘Wow di ko sila trip! Tangina lahat ng may trip sa kanila’ Ganun ba dapat? Di ba pwedeng iba trip nila sa trip tapos okey lang tayo lahat?”
