KC Concepcion to Donate Proceeds to Help Fishermen Affected by Typhoon
Actress KC Concepcion raised more than P200,000 from her handcrafted jewelry business to help fishermen in Bicol affected by the typhoon.
KC took Instagram to announced that she has already earned more than P200,000 for selling her ready-made, handcrafted jewelry. KC thanked all those who purchased from her jewelry collection, Avec Moi, from November 17 to November 27.
She also said on her post, the proceeds will be donated to Project Silong of the World Wildlife Fund-Philippines (WWF-PH). The project aims to help Filipino fishermen who have lost their boats, homes, and livelihoods due to the recent typhoons.
“Thank YOU to all who supported our cause with every @avecmoijewelry piece purchased from Nov 17-Nov 27! YOU are the reason we’ve been able to directly donate P200,000 to @wwfphilippines #ProjectSilong drive that will help provide 2,511 fiberglass boats for sustainable fishing & rebuild lives of our fishermen in Bicol, Philippines,” she said.
According to her post, she also partnered with the Office of the Vice President and the Kaya Natin movement to distribute 200 packages of relief goods to the affected communities in Cagayan Valley. Each package of relief goods is worth P500.
KC also auctioned off some of the pre-owned items to support the WWF-PH Project Silong. Among the items she put up for sale were gowns, dresses, and corsets.
Last week, KC visits Cagayan Valley to give relief goods to families affected by the typhoon. KC Concepcion was glad to be welcomed by the people’s smiles and laughter amid everything that happened.
