Fire Affects 40 Families In Bacoor City, Cavite On Wednesday Evening
BACOOR CITY – A fire recently razed houses in Camia Street, Barangay Zapote Uno, Bacoor City, Cavite on Wednesday evening.
According to a report from ABS-CBN News, the fire started at about 6:30 PM on Wednesday evening, It was eventually extinguished at 8 PM.
The Bureau of Fire Protection reported that fire caused damages that are worth at about P80,000. 40 families were left without homes.
Edna Saes, aged 56 and one of the affected residents, said that the fire was already worsened when she arrived. they were unable to recover their belongings inside their house.
She was with her family, among them include her husband, children and grandkids in their barangay covered court.
“Blangko na po ‘yung utak ko. Nalulungkot, kasi paano kami magsisimulang lahat, wala po kami, totally talaga black out kami,”
Another affected resident, identified as Jonalyn Nasam, said that she only has her worn clothes and said that they are seeking for any help.
“Ipapaayos pa rin namin tong bahay kahit barong-barong na lang po. Siyempre kailangan namin ng unang-una pananamit namin kasi wala kaming naisalba, saka gamit namin pagluluto. Natural po yung pinansyal, kasi wala naman kaming pagkukunan. Walang trabaho ang iba,”
Based on the report, Kagawad Argie Gaspi reported that a gas stove that was left open is deduced to be the cause of the fire. The BFP are currently probing further.
